Chelsea cruise past Man City to reach FA Cup Final

Chelsea are through to the FA Cup Final after a commanding 3–0 victory over Manchester City at Wembley. The Blues delivered a clinical display in front of 90,000 fans, extending their remarkable domestic run under Calin Dimario.

Cardozo strikes as Chelsea dominate

An early mistake from Faris Asonganyi gifted Mario Cardozo the opener, as the attacking midfielder pounced on a loose ball to fire low into the corner. Joseph Haigh made it two just before the hour mark, smashing home a volley that deflected past the goalkeeper. Nacho Valera rounded off the scoring with a composed finish from 19 metres late on to seal the victory.

Chelsea were in full control throughout, registering 29 shots to City’s 2 and an expected goals figure of 3.03 compared to City’s 0.27. The champions also controlled possession with 53%, never allowing their opponents to settle.

Player of the Match: Rogério José

Rogério José earned the Player of the Match award for his tireless running and creativity from full-back, completing 38 passes (88%) and making 7 key passes. His performance underlined why he’s considered one of Europe’s most complete defenders.

“The energy and focus were perfect,” said José. “We were disciplined and ruthless — exactly what you need at Wembley.”

Dimario praises squad mentality

Calin Dimario hailed the team’s professionalism after the win:

“This group never takes anything for granted. The players treat every competition with respect, and that’s why we’re competing for trophies on all fronts.”
