London, July 12, 2054 — England manager Calin Dimario has officially confirmed that he will step down from his post following the conclusion of the 2054 World Cup. The announcement came during a brief press conference held earlier today, bringing an end to one of the most successful managerial tenures in modern international football.

Dimario, 67, leaves his role after guiding England through another strong tournament, finishing third after a resounding 6–1 win over Chile in the third-place playoff. His decision follows England’s narrow semi-final defeat to Spain, which ended their bid to retain the World Cup crown.

The Romanian-born tactician, a legend at Chelsea both as a player and a manager, has enjoyed remarkable success with the national team. During his three spells in charge between 2028 and 2054, Dimario led England to triumphs in the European International League (2051, 2053) and the European Football Championship (2052), as well as winning the European/South American Super Cup (2053).

“It has been the greatest honour of my career to manage England,” Dimario said. “We’ve built a team that embodies pride, discipline, and creativity — I’ll always cherish what we’ve achieved together.”

Dimario will now focus on his club duties at Chelsea, where he is set to continue his managerial career. The FA is expected to begin the search for his successor immediately, with speculation already circulating about possible replacements ahead of the 2056 European Championship qualifying campaign.

Dimario departs as one of the most decorated and respected managers in England’s history — a figure synonymous with success, stability, and an enduring belief in attacking football.
