Scorers: Nabil Lahyane (3’), Júnior (15’, 86’)

There is an almost ritualistic quality now to Chelsea’s domination of the Premier League. Another weekend, another routine dismantling – this time at Goodison Park, where Nicky Bolingbroke’s Everton were calmly brushed aside by a side playing football from a different planet.

The tone was set early. When Everton’s Tom Dicicco misjudged a clearance, Nabil Lahyane was on it in a flash, rifling a half-volley into the net to give the visitors the lead inside three minutes. That was all the invitation Chelsea needed. The rest of the afternoon was a demonstration of the control, precision and ruthlessness that has defined their season.

Júnior, who seems to bend matches to his will, doubled the advantage twelve minutes later with a trademark low finish into the bottom corner. The Brazilian, tireless and elegant, completed the rout in the 86th minute – his deflected drive standing after a brief VAR check overturned referee Steve Griffin’s initial call to disallow it.

By the end, the numbers told their own story: Chelsea controlled 59% of possession, outshot Everton two to one, and looked utterly unbothered by the noise around them. Player of the Match, unsurprisingly, went to Júnior – whose brace took his tally to 37 goals in 49 appearances this season.

Everton, meanwhile, remain mired in mid-table. Bolingbroke will not want to relive this one against his former club.

With this result, Chelsea move to 101 points after 36 matches, mathematically sealing the title in imperious style. The blue juggernaut rolls on, and with Júnior in this form, there seems little anyone can do to stop it.
