Liverpool 3–0 Man City

At Anfield, Liverpool tore Manchester City apart with a performance that was equal parts ruthless and inevitable. Dougie Agnew (25’), Felix Hammond (33’) and Federico Vallejos (85’) were the names on the scoresheet, but this was about something bigger: a Liverpool side stretching their unbeaten run to ten, casually brushing aside a supposed title rival like they were a mid-table distraction.

City managed four shots all game. Four. While Liverpool racked up 19, bossed 66% of possession, and turned what was billed as a heavyweight clash into a mismatch. Harry Kelly, City’s talisman, looked utterly lost; Pep’s old machine has been reduced to wheezing parts.

And here’s the uncomfortable truth: Liverpool aren’t even top. They’re chasing Chelsea, who continue their dreary march towards inevitability. But if anyone is to stop the Stamford Bridge Juggernaut, it may just be this red machine from Merseyside. Not that neutral fans will find much comfort in it—because if it isn’t Chelsea suffocating the league, it’s Liverpool. And where, exactly, is the fun in that?
